Frequently Asked Questions
How long will therapy take?
The length of your treatment plan depends upon a number of factors. These include the duration of your problem, your general health, your lifestyle habits including your work and household activities. The length of treatment also depends upon your level of commitment to getting on top of your condition.
Treatment may only require a few visits for a simple condition or several months of visits for a more complicated case and injury cases. Rest assured that our goal for you is to get well as quickly as possible and provide the education and home instruction to help you manage your condition on your own.

Yes. There are many independent studies indicating that chiropractic care is indeed safe and effective for managing low back pain, neck pain, headaches and other conditions relating to the spine. Numerous studies have demonstrated that chiropractic is cost-effective and results in higher patient satisfaction than other types of care.

Any discomfort is usually temporary and we are proud of our reputation for gentle care. For this reason our practice is built upon our patients referring their friends and family to our office.
Will my condition return?
Once you experience a painful spinal condition you are at risk in the future of having this condition return at some point. Those patients that continue their home therapy program and spinal exercise tend to minimize future recurrences. We do recommend follow-up patch up treatment as soon as you begin to experience a recurrence of pain as it is much easier to manage those conditions compared to those patients that wait too long.
Do children need chiropractic care?
Children tend to have more resilient tissue compared to adults; however, there is growing research indicating some children experience back and neck pain. National automobile accident statistics indicate that approximately 250,000 children are injured each year. The good news is that children tend to respond quite well to chiropractic care in restoring their normal function and alleviating pain.
Am I too old for chiropractic care?
Chiropractic treatment appears to work for people of all ages, including senior citizens. Our goal with senior citizens is simply to reduce their pain, restore their spinal mobility and function.
I have heard that once you start going to a chiropractor, you have to keep going forever. Is that true?
We generally do not recommend continuing "maintenance care" once a patient's condition has stabilized or has been resolved. Besides, it has been our experience once a patient has become pain free with normal daily function, they really do not perceive the need to continue with therapy. We do encourage you to come in should you experience a recurrence of an old problem or have a new and different condition developing. The earlier that we begin treatment, the sooner you will experience relief of pain.
